The next Rust force wipe is on Thursday, December 3, 2026 at 19:00 UTC (19:00 UTC your time). Rust force wipes on the first Thursday of every month when Facepunch releases the monthly update: every server, official or community, must generate a new map. Blueprints are only wiped when Facepunch says so, and Tea Time never wipes them.

Wipe day on Tea Time

Where to drop when the map lands

Everyone starts at zero on wipe day. Here's how to be the one who isn't.

Fresh map, kept blueprints

Our 2x Trio wipes the map on force day at 18:00 UTC — then weekly on Fridays. Blueprints stay yours. Hard Solo/Duo/Trio limits and offline-raid protection, so you can log off without logging out of life.

  • Map wipe only — your blueprints stay unlocked
  • Hard Trio limit, no zergs
  • Offline-raid protection
  • Never pay-to-raid

Never wipes. Build the wipe base first.

Design your wipe-day base on a build server that never resets, raid-test it against NPCs that push like real players, then save it — in game, it's one code away on wipe day.

  • Free, no whitelist, global low ping
  • Free MLRS to raid-test your design
  • Thousands of community bases to remix

Map still generating?

Force wipe night means queues and loading screens. Jump into a 1v1 while you wait — there's a prize pool on the line.

A wipe-day base for your team size

Strong for their size: community bases from the last year with a measured raid cost that makes offliners think twice. Pick yours, save it, and it's one code away in game.

The basics

What is a force wipe?

Once a month Facepunch ships a Rust update that changes how the world generates. Old maps can't load on the new build, so every server on earth has to roll a fresh one. Players call it the force wipe, the forced wipe, or just wipe day.

It's the only wipe no server can dodge. Weekly, biweekly and monthly servers keep their own schedules the rest of the month — on force wipe week they all line up.

Why Thursday, and why 19:00 London? Facepunch is a UK studio, and shipping on Thursday evening leaves Friday to hotfix before the weekend peak. In summer that is 18:00 UTC, in winter 19:00 UTC.

What resets

What gets wiped on force wipe day?

Map

Always. A new seed is generated, so every base, deployable, item and monument puzzle state is gone on every server in the game.

Blueprints

Only when Facepunch says so. Most monthly updates are map-only; a blueprint wipe is announced in the update notes a few times a year, and many servers choose to reset BPs anyway.

On Tea Time

Map only. We never wipe blueprints, force day included — the tech you unlocked stays unlocked, so coming back after a week away doesn't put you behind.

Never wiped

Your Steam inventory, skins and achievements survive every wipe — and so do the bases you saved on the Tea Time build server, ready to drop onto the fresh map.
